What is a benchtop overhang?

A benchtop overhang is used on an area with no cabinetry beneath. This is typically used for breakfast bars and other areas people tend to sit—as there’s leg space below.

How should I clean my stone kitchen benchtop?

Generally, a clean piece of damp cloth will suffice for almost all kinds of benchtops, regardless of the material. For more stubborn stains, either a small amount of dishwashing liquid and water or a few drops of a stone cleaner should do the trick. Some manufacturers such as Smartstone offer a complimentary cleaning kit when you register online for a warranty.
